Insert the tube fully into the fitting until it bottoms against the shoulder. Hand-tighten the nut, then use a wrench to tighten 1-1/4 turns past hand-tight for 1/4 in OD tubing. Do not over-torque. The double-ferrule design grips the tube and creates a metal-to-metal seal without flaring or welding.
