Clean the copper tube end and apply flux. Slide the union onto the tube until it contacts the rolled center stop. Heat the cup evenly and apply solder until it flows into the joint. Allow to cool, then thread the MNPT end into the female pipe fitting using pipe thread sealant. The drain port can be capped or used for a drain valve.
